you never would expect from a girl like me
i could give you reasons, but that would be stupid and obvious and...well, stupid.
it looks like i've pretty much got a perm job. same company i worked for back east, but with the branch out here (finally). they put me on the temp assignment i've been on for the past 8 months, so yay for longevity. details to be ironed out shortly.
i make my singer/songwriter debut in 2 weeks. i open the show - 2 plays, a short film, 3 musical performances - and i start the whole thing. yes, send the n00b to get the ball rolling. pressure, much?
i lost 4.8 pounds on my first "unofficial" week on weight watchers. the first official week has not gone quite so swimmingly. so basically, it'll be all liquids tomorrow, and some of that special "dieter's tea" tomorrow night, before weigh-in on tuesday morning. here's hoping at least break even.
things are looking up, yes? so i should be mostly happy, right? then why is that, come sunday, like clockwork, i sleep the day away to fight the feelings of lonliness and emptiness, and to fight the temptation to do something drastic. not THAT drastic, but drastic.
fake sympathy is worse than no sympathy at all. go back to your life. i'm a drain on everyone's resources eventually. no wonder love disintigrates. no wonder flowers crumble.
i'm a terrible friend, and i hate the excuses i've made. i'm sorry for everything. maybe if i hadn't left, i wouldn't have lost touch with everyone. regret is my biggest fan.
