8 maids a-milking! (if my true love gave me that, i'd be like, "WTF???")
i've gotten into this pattern of heading up to the corner starbucks to get a venti soy latte. there's a coffee place in the lobby of the building where i work, but...their lattes suck, for the most part. damn shame too, the employees there are super nice.
well this morning, as i'm waiting on the line that's snaking around the room, 2 of the most random, and coolest, songs came on over the PA.
"the lion sleeps tonight" (there were about 5 or 6 people singing along. it was too cute)
and
"i know an old lady" (...who swallowed a fly, i don't know why she swallowed a fly. i guess she'll die. yeah, that one)
it just put me in a good mood. which is nice, for a change.
it probably also helped that when i walked out to my car this morning, it was snowing. flurrying, but snow nonetheless.
all the while, there was the most gorgeous sunrise. pale peach at the horizon, expanding upwards to orange, and then the most brilliant, almost neon pink i have ever seen in the sky, up to purple. fluffy clouds dotted the sky. it was gorgeous.
i wish you could've been here to see it...
i'm going to write with my sky-blue glittery gel pen today. why? WHY NOT!
the ink is actually glittery. and that, my friends, is supercool.
embrace your inner 4th grader today. that's my advice.
