it's all a big train wreck
the first one went REALLY well - i expect an offer by the end of the week. i'd be recruiting; however, 90% of it would be cold calls, trying to obtain clients. AND there's commission involved, since it's recruiting for PERMANENT jobs.
i don't want to be an administrative assistant headhunter. i want to work in TEMPORARY staffing. oh well.
the second one was EXTREMELY awkward. the woman from HR was very nice, but the 2 owners of the company were socially retarded. this is a company that is working on software to enable you to watch tv on your cell phone. interesting concept. i'm WAY overqualified for this job, i think. but it would have been a cool environment -- you know, if the lack of conversational skills wasn't a problem with the staff.
back to the drawing board, i guess.
i continue to fight the good fight. not that i want to. last night was a rough night for me. like, REALLY rough. but i won't go into those details. tonight's not shaping up to be much better.
BUT.
at least i have american idol to watch, and a bottle of malibu at my side.
more somewhat-sorta-pseudo drunken ramblings later.
