sad sunday

my great aunt died last monday. my mom just found out today. she lived down in NC, so i guess they took care of all the little details, then transported her body back up here to NJ. they'll have a small graveside service for her this week. she didn't want a funeral or anything, apparently.

my mom is beside herself. they were very close, and aunt ginny was the last of the old generation of the family. now it's just her and her brother.

aunt ginny lived a good life. she was 95. but apparently in a lot of pain at the end. i think i saw her a lot when i was younger, but maybe saw her twice since i was 5. she was on point with sending cards, though. christmas and birthdays -- always.

and i just wrote out her christmas card today...how sad is that?

i have to get up at 530 tomorrow morning, since i have a 7am appointment with the shrink. which should be fun driving to, in the melted, plowed, salted, sanded, and somewhat-refrozen snowy roads. good times.

if it's non-digital, it goes to CVS or rite aid or something.

when i collapsed on the beach in jamaica after smoking weed. my friends took me back to the hotel room to sleep it off, and they were going to back out, i said, "okay, but leave the light on" and they asked "why?" and i said, "if you turn it off, THEY'RE coming to get me." they said, "mer, who's THEY?" i said, "i dunno, but if you turn off that light, they are comin' to get me!"

i have bitten my nails all my life, so i get acrylics now, so i don't look totally grubby.

a little over a year ago, i thin.

30. worst injury you've ever had?
sprained ankle. i've done that a few times. always from doing something stupid. you know, like standing up. or walking. i'm klutzy.

dark chocolate is yummy. or milk chocolate. i'm not picky. just not with nuts in it. i'm not a fan of that much. OH. and NO MINT. chocolate with mint in it is EVIL. EVIL, i tell you!

i've got these gelly roll glitter pens that are kinda nifty.
