one of those when god closes a window, he opens another one kind of moments. a day with a silver lining around it.
and even if all of it is not okay, at least part of it is. and that is a deep sigh in itself.
it's security, at least in one regard.
there will be education, there will be health, there will be freedom, and there will be satisfaction.
everyone is happy. for now.
and maybe i can buy away the memories, and purchase new ones. i cannot wait to mark my skin with the emblems i've been waiting for, for a few years now. maybe i will makeover myself beautiful, all the while preparing for the uncertain future. perhaps i will have that little 2-story house in belleville, someday sooner than i ever thought possible.
i will celebrate and drive away.
but for tonight, i thank the stars in the winter sky, and drink a toast to the past. i will almost cry.
