take a good look at me now, 'cause i'll still be standing here...
ok, here we go with another long photo entry (you know you love these...)
san diego at night, as seen through my hotel window
eric's band, worth every scar. yes, i'm going to pimp them forever. because i'm all fangirl like that.
i'm not really a fan of hardcore music, BUT, i was WAY impressed. i enjoyed the show muchly. YAY!
this would be me, rockin' the mic, karaoke-style. i sang 3 songs. i think. at least 2. i don't remember the 3rd one. i don't remember leaving the bar, or the ride home, actually. oops. me and tanquerey don't mix, apparently.
this would be eric and me. we are so fucking sexy, it hurts.
this is me and eric's friend marissa. she's cool as hell. :)
i don't remember these people. but yes, those are two girls making out, and one boy cheering them on.
the obligatory "OMGWTFLOLBBQ!!!11!!@#@eleven! PALM TREES!!!!" picture. taken in balboa park. not named after rocky. (hardy har. corny joke, i know) but i truly was fascinated by the palm trees.
apparently, behind that giant garagedoor looking thing, there's a huge-ass pipe organ. it made me smile because it made me think of the ancient pipe organ we had in the hall we held our choir concerts in during college. anyway...BIG stage. HUGE.
some people carve names or initials into trees...others carve cacti. it is my sincere wish that ana and carlos do, in fact have true love always.
eric's a rock star. HA! get it???
eric kept saying i was the queen of san diego. all i needed was a tiara. well, when we had dinner at "dick's last resort" - the CLASSIEST joint in san diego, fo' sho' - the waitress was making fun paper hats with silly sayings on them. i believe mine said "i used to have a drug problem. now i have money." or something like that. oh, and you BEST better believe that i have a picture of eric in his paper hat. but i am a nice girl, and will spare him the embarrassment. i, however, have no shame.
on the road up to sacramento. somewhere around los angeles.
this picture pretty much sums up my 8 hour drive up to sacramento. no kidding. it's a barren wasteland along I-5.
YAY! this would be "daddy", aka rhonda. we went to joe's crab shack for dinner. yummmm. in this picture, i believe she is texting eireann. rhonda is sooo cuuuuuuute!
after we spent the early part of the next morning coffeestalking at starbucks and grabbing some bagel sandwiches from noah's, rhonda and i rolled on out to san francisco! this would be, of course, the golden gate bridge. it's kinda scary to cross. rhonda braved the bridge for me. *squishy aww-noise*
public toilet in san francisco...it costs a quarter. and you get 20 minutes. if you take too long, the door opens by itself and exposes you to all of downtown san fran! heh.
rhonda and me. go ahead, do it! SQUEEEEE at the cuteness!!! do it!!!
rhonda and i decided to walk up telegraph hill to coit tower. it's kinda hard to tell in this picture, but we walked up a 45 degree hill! *sigh* i'm so out of shape.
this was a photo-op on fisherman's wharf. nifty, eh?
rhonda with a lobster hat on her head. i'm sure she has some CHOICE pictures of me with silly hats on.
/sarcasm
sea lions! THEY'RE so CUTE! rhonda and i spent about 20 minutes just watching them and laughing.
this one was on the other end of the wharf, all by himself. it made me so sad.
the last day with rhonda was very low-key. we went to chevy's for lunch, then saw "must love dogs" (yes it's a total chickflick). we also did some window shopping. she introduced me to a lovely store called torrid, which is just chock full of adorable, funky fun clothes that i need in my life. AND it was right next door to frederick's of hollywood. hottness. i need a bustier in my life.
i digress. sorry. ADD moment.
the reason that our last day hanging out was so low-key was because i had to wake up at 1am, to get ready to drive back to san diego. AND i forgot my glasses. BRILLIANT. i don't have terrible vision, but i do use my glasses for distance, and night driving. so from 2am - 6am was not a fun part of the drive. but this picture i took about 6 or 7 am. pretty sunrise on I-5.
PALM TREES! AGAIN! AT THE AIRPORT!
one last picture at the airport before i got all weepy.
but everything's okay on the plane when you have 3 xanax in you! heh.
there you have it, folks. my trip to california. have i mentioned yet that i HATE being home?
