doin' the Nestea plunge!
i was baptized as a baby in my backyard by a presbyterian (i think) minister. we went to an episcopalian church for 3 years when i was growing up. i ended up going to a catholic university.
(quite the varied christian spiritual upbringing)
my parents have been attending a baptist church here in town since they moved here. they go to bible study, they're on service committees, and have been taking classes to become official "members" of the 3ch0 L@k3 Baptist Church.
today, they get baptized into the baptist faith and become members of the church.
at 6pm, we're heading over to another member's house. where the new members will be dunked into the backyard swimming pool as their baptism. afterwards...a BBQ for everyone!
i am NOT kidding.
it's going to be a fun evening.
