in 1492, columbus sailed the ocean blue

7am is beautiful, all cold and caffeinated. the air is frosty, sugar-free vanilla latte'd and smoky. i was singing destiny's child and good charlotte, rockin' the jackie-o sunglasses like the fabulous (albeit gimpy) diva i am.

for every kind stranger who will ask me what happened and how i am and do i need any help...there is an asshole of a stranger, who will see a girl hobbling towards the door on crutches, and not even take a break from his cigarette to open it for me.

someone called me "exquisite" and "gorgeous" today. two words i've never been called in my life. i'm still in awe of such kind words from a (practical) stranger. i'm still floating on my happy ego wave.

oh, and thank you to everyone for their sweet comments and well wishes. xox.

and to top it all off, today is columbus day. the office is dead, so we are closing at 4pm.
