another photopost!

my photoposts are more frequent lately, because i've been out and social lately. whoa.

this latest trek was on friday night. we all met up at a bar called scruffy mcduffy's or something like that in hell's kitchen. i went to tim's house first and actually DROVE in NYC -- both to get to tim's and even to drive him to work on saturday morning, because i am a good friend like that. so i am, once again, conquering fears, left and right.

anyway, i have to say, i enjoyed being refered to as the "woman of the evening" -- as if i am the guest of honor. that rocks. i like being the center of attention, no doubt about that. so tim and i finally get to the bar:

(this would be tim, workin' it for the camera)

and the first person we encounter is:

joey choj! i literally have not seen this kid in 9 years. since senior year. and it was awesome to see him. he has not aged a bit. totally doesn't look 30.

the next person to arrive was:

timmy g! who is one of the people i do get to see most often. he was at my co-going away party with jenn back in february. he's a trip because he said that when he walked in, his first thought was that he though i had gotten a boob job because they looked bigger than usual! i thought that was hysterical! honestly, he is one of the few people who can get away with saying that. i told him that they probably look bigger because the rest of me is about 20 pounds smaller. god, if i ever lost my boobs while losing weight, i'd cry. but that's neither here nor there.

next to arrive:

Noelle! who brought a friend of hers, nicole, who unfortunately didn't make it into any of the pictures. she was very very nice, though. i don't think i've seen noelle since jenn's wedding back in february 2005. noelle was probably one of the craziest people i knew in college -- she was wild! and she's calmed down over the years, but she's still one of the funniest people i know, and one of the nicest, too.

also, a girl named gillian came, who also went to the U of S, but i didn't really know her. i actually was friends with her brother. but it was really nice to meet her, since i had heard a lot of cool things about her from tim, and she's cool, laid back chick.

it sucks that i meet these cool people, and see these awesome people for the first time in AGES a week before i leave to move across the country.

this is my FAVORITE picture out of the bunch. "shhhh, don't tell anyone that i'm sitting underneath a shelf at a bar in hell's kitchen!" (no...i don't know what i was doing either...)

the night ended too quickly. it seemed like it was between 9 and 11pm forEVER and then all of a sudden it was 130am. and a lot of the people had to work the next day (on saturday! WTF!?!!), so we all parted ways. *sob* tim and i stopped at a little mini-mart and i bought a pack of combos and a pack of oreos and scarfed them down on the cab ride home. i was hungry. i woke up shortly before tim's alarm went off at 7am -- he had to work.

we went to get my car from the parking garage, and they mistook my saying "hyundai tucson" for "SAAB" and brought me the wrong car -- it took them forever to actually BRING me the right car. i know most of you would be like "woo hoo! take the SAAB and run" -- but i love my tucson, and i need the room of my mini-SUV for the move! so i was none-too-pleased with this place!

i drove through the bronx and east harlem to get tim to work, and then drove home to boring west milly. i partied for five hours, and it took me all day to recover...i seriously slept all day. i'm still exhausted today.

but damn, it was worth. all this exhaustion and madness and crazy times. it's all worth it. i just hope that the people who say, "oh yeah, i definitely want to come visit you..." i really just hope that they're able to someday.
