MERCY!

does anyone remember the show "bands on the run" that was on vh1 back in 2001? i adored that show. how fun that struggling band lifestyle appeared to me.

still does. *sigh*

anyway, a few of the bands on there were just amazing. flickerstick was the band that won -- haven't really heard much from them.

another one, the josh dodes band was just...gah. i adored them. they didn't win, sadly. but i snagged one of their mp3, that i just recently found on an old mix cd i made (back in the glory days of napster...ah, memories)

"be my friend, but be naked" -- good GOD how can you not love a song with that name?

a bald bluesy man with CHOPS. oh lordy, help me, i'm swooning. hee. i want to just dance around my apartment listening to this song.

a happy musical memory from a time in my life that turned out to be very, very sad. but i can still listen to this song, sing, and smile.

must go listen to the rest of his tunes. pronto.
